Welcome Coach Kurt, our new 2026 Head Coach!! Coach Kurt brings years of experience as a CW Stingray, bringing his knowledge, passion, and love of the Stingray community. We are so excited to bring him on board this year and show all of our swimmers and their families what it truly means to be a Stingray. Congratulations, Coach Kurt, and welcome back!
Hi Stingray Family! I'm so excited to be back coaching again this summer! This will be my 10th year at Covington Woods and my 2nd year as a coach. I grew up swimming for Covington Woods in the summer and was on Kempner High School's Varsity swim team throughout my high school years. I will have just completed my first year at Texas A&M (Gig 'Em!) working towards completing my degree in Public Health. I can't wait for another amazing season at Covington Woods! Go Stingrays!
Hello CWST I am Coach Anna. This will be my second year coaching for Covington and excited for a new season. I am so glad to be welcomed back!! I am currently a freshmen at Texas A&M Corpus Christi and can't wait to come back home once my classes are over and start coaching the littles. This is also going to be my last year swimming for the team using my angel year, but that doesn't mean I am going to stop coaching. I love this team and community and can't wait to be surrounded by it all during this summer.
Hi, my name is Jackson, and I’ve been a proud Stingray for 12 seasons! I’m currently the Captain of the Kempner Aquatics Team, competing in both swim and water polo. I’m a four-year Varsity swimmer and water polo player, a two-time State swim qualifier, a First Team All-District selection, and I’ve had the opportunity to compete in the Junior Olympics in California for water polo.
My love for swimming started right here at Covington Woods Pool when I was a 7-year- old Stingray. I wasn’t the fastest swimmer—in fact, I practiced with the 6 & unders until my first meet—but through hard work and encouragement, I grew to love the sport and the team environment.
As a coach, I focus on motivation and stroke technique, while making sure our swimmers are learning, improving, and having fun. I’m excited to be back and can’t wait for a great season with the Stingrays!
